Introducing our newest matcha to join the Momi's Matcha family, the Okumidori matcha comes from Kagoshima, Kyushu, Japan. This is a beginner-friendly matcha that is not as bold as some of our other offerings, but makes an amazing creamy daily matcha. At Momi's, we especially love it as an usucha, and as a daily matcha latte with some syrup.
Tasting Notes: Creamy, light-medium umami, hint of floral aftertaste. Little to no bitterness or astringency.
Matcha Powder Amount: 30g ($0.90/g)
Serving Suggestions:
+ Iced Matcha Latte: Mix 4g of matcha with 40ml of hot water, then combine with 125ml of milk over ice for a refreshing treat. Add 8g of syrup for some sweetness, and to bring out the beautiful flavor of this matcha.
+ Usucha: Blend 2g of matcha with 60ml of hot water for a traditional matcha experience.

I was gifted this from my friend in seattle and I was SHOOK when I tried this matcha for the first time. The powder was the greenest I’ve ever seen and the flavor was incredible. I am obsessed with this matcha. It’s so authentic and it tastes just like the matcha drink I got when I visited Japan. It’s so nice I can make incredible matcha now from the comfort of my own home.
