I usually go for ippodo’s ummon for a more umami matcha powder and I think this is an equal contender (at a much more affordable price!) for that depth of flavor! It’s a deeper, slightly more bitter umami than the ummon which I enjoy in a hot latte since it brings more richness! I prefer momi’s gokou in an usucha but love the samidori in a latte or a flavored iced latte!

I found Momi’s matcha on tik Tok and gave it a chance because it looked high quality and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised how good this brand is! Samidori is a umami and smooth matcha that pairs well with syrups and on its own! Don’t pass this brand up!
